Natalie Hasell, ECCC Meteorologist states that such a temperature indicator is just a coincidence. The expert is sure that such statistics do not indicate global changes in climate. It's all a series of cold, rainy days. The coldest temperature on June 25 was recorded in 1918. (16.7 C).
Meteorologists report that, unlike the statistics of a hundred years ago, the temperature will be affected by the beginning of the weekend. This cooling is only a temporary phenomenon, which does not entail a negative tendency to change the temperature regime.
The lowest temperatures were also noted in 1874 and 1972 (19.4 C), in 1956 (18.9 C) and in 1971 (17.2 C). Meteorologists advise Winnipeggers to be patient, as soon the temperature indicators return to normal. The overall forecast for the next week indicates warm days.
