29 tornadoes in the Canadian prairies happened during this summer

This summer, the Canadian prairies faced 29 tornadoes. The most destructive one happened in Alonsa, Manitoba. And this number is only approximate, the scientists say.

Saskatchewan became the state with the biggest number of tornadoes recorded. This summer there were at least 19 evidenced disasters, and 3 more to be proved.

Manitoba’s record for this summer is 8 tornadoes.

Alberta has two tornadoes evidenced, and three more to be proved.

Alyssa Pederson, the scientist at The Prairie and Arctic Storm Prediction Centre, says that the research on the summer tornadoes is not over yet. She noted, that there were three tornadoes during the last fall - one in September and two in October. So the hurricane season might be not over yet.
