Armed teen arrested at school

Tuesday morning one of the schools in Winnipeg went into a lockdown. The reason is scary and disturbing, one of the students was spotted carrying a firearm and multiple pieces of ammunition.

Selkirk RCMP seized a firearm, ammunition, and arrested a 17-year-old high school student. Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School went into lockdown until RCMP took the student into custody. As per police, nobody got injured, all the students and staff members are safe and accounted for.

School principal Martin Ingenmey notified all parents about the situation in school via email, also email included info about the help and resources available at the school if any students or staff need assistance. 

The investigation still ongoing, police are not shearing any information about the identity of the arrested student, the kind of firearm seized or where it came from. Winnipeg Police will present a statement after the investigation is closed and charges will be brought up.
