Over 10,000 stolen hockey cards found

A theft is being reported every day in Manitoba, personal things getting stolen from purses, vehicles, houses, and garages. Thieves will take almost anything these days, even the things they do not need at all and will not be able to sell, but sometimes they can steal something really unique and expensive.

RCMP in Stonewall, Manitoba was working on the investigation of stolen goods and didn’t even expect to find a huge collection of Over 10,000 stolen hockey cards, in a completely unrelated case.

As of Wednesday morning, police have been unable to identify the owner of the collection, which is described as well-maintained. The collection contains several distinct items that Stonewall RCMP will require anyone claiming the collection to identify.

“This is a collection a person really cared about. It is well maintained and well cataloged,” Media Relations Officer Tara Seel said.

Some people really care about the collection like this, if all of these cards belonged to one owner, which appears to be the case, it may be pretty valuable not just for a collector, but also could cost a lot of money on the market, if sold at once.
