Canadian scientists recommend women to have a pause of 18 months between pregnancy

Canadian scientists conducted a study and concluded that the best pause between pregnancy is 18 months. However, the pause of 12-18 months is also possible.

This research is especially relevant for women who decide to have their first child after 35 years. As a rule, their pause between pregnancy is less than that of women who give birth between the ages of 20-35. This is explained by the fact that a woman wants to give birth to the next child while she can still do it in terms of health and finance.

Recently, a lot of women decide to have their first child after 35 years. They are building their career, waiting for the right man or just for the right moment.

The research has shown that if the next pregnancy happens earlier than a year and a half after the birth giving, a woman can have serious problems. For example, maternal mortality, premature birth, or all sorts of problems during the childbirth.

The study was conducted over 10 years, and more than 18,000 women took part in it. Pregnancy faster than a year after childbirth increases the risk for women of any age: women older 35 have more risks for themselves, women under 35 have more risks for a child.

In the study it is also seen that women who decide to give birth to their first child after 35 more often face miscarriages, difficulty in getting pregnant and in enduring pregnancy.

Do not forget that this is just a study, and there are always exceptions to the rules. This study may be useful to those who are planning their pregnancy. If people have a plan, they can reduce all possible risks.

If you become pregnant faster than 18 months from previous delivery, discuss everything with your doctor. You should not immediately tune in to the bad outcome, each body is individual and only your doctor will be able to give detailed advice.
