Toronto maniac buried victims in flower pots

A retired gardener killed eight people.

On Tuesday, January 29 the Supreme Court of Toronto, Ontario held hearings in a serial murder case. In the presence of jurors 67-year-old gardener Bruce MacArthur confessed to killing eight people who disappeared between 2010 and 2017.

“MacArthur is accused of killing eight men between the ages of 40 and 58,” the report said.

The first victim was murdered in 2010. A Skandaraj Navaratnam, who was last seen in September 2010, disappeared with no trace. The victim and MacArthur were in a relationship for several years. The last victim disappeared in June of 2017.

Lawyer Michael Canton noted that all the killings were deliberate and carried out on sexual grounds. The bodies of his victims he dismembered and buried the remains in flower tubs, which he later used for landscape design.

The remains of seven people were found in large pots in a residential complex in downtown Toronto, where MacArthur worked, and the remains of the eighth victim were found in a nearby gorge.

Police arrested MacArthur in January 2018. At the end of last year, he waived his right to a preliminary hearing, deciding to go straight to court.
