Honda will recall 84,000 vehicles in Canada

Every automaker company got into the situation when a major problem with a vehicle is noticed after thousands of cars were already sold, sometimes millions, which makes it even harder and very expensive to recall such vehicles for inspection and possibly replacement of faulty parts or modules.

Honda Company is not an exception, but this time the recall involves some older models, that were on the roads for years. Honda will be recalling about 1 million older vehicles in the U.S. and Canada because the Takata driver’s airbag inflators that were installed during previous recalls could be dangerous.

Canadian safety regulators posted Monday, March 11th a statement that Honda is recalling many of its most popular models for a second time. The models are from as old as 2001 and as recent as 2010. Honda vehicle owners are recommended to contact local dealers to get their vehicles inspected to check if the issue involves their vehicles.

Approximately 84,000 vehicles in Canada will be involved in the recall, it is a big number for older cars recall.

To remind you, also, the American automaker Ford Motor recalls nearly 900,000 pickups F-150 in North America because of problems with the heater cable of the engine block as per to a company statement.

More than 464 thousand Ford vehicles are now being recalled in Canada. Among the recalled models will be 2015-2019 F-150 pickups and 2017-2019 Super Duty pickups.

We would recommend contacting your local Honda and Ford dealerships. Honda owners will have to take their vehicles to dealers to have the inflator replaced. Ford Dealers will reprogram the computer with new software that detects a stuck valve. They will also inspect the valve and other components of the fuel system and, if necessary, replace them, and confirm with them if your vehicle is one of those being recalled, so you can get your car inspected and make sure it is safe to drive for your own and your passenger's safety.
