Be part of a nation-wide movement celebrating dance (and take part in FREE dance classes while you're at it!).
Created by Canada’s National Ballet School in partnership with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and Physical and Health Education Canada, Sharing Dance is a community initiative that makes dance accessible to all people. The program aims to encourage Canadians of all ages and abilities to engage artistically, and reap the physical, social, emotional, and cultural benefits that dance provides.
There are many ways to get involved with Sharing Dance, and they all lead to Sharing Dance Day – the biggest dance party this country has ever seen! Sharing Dance Day is 100% FREE and includes performances, workshops, and other fun activities for the whole family. Everyone is invited to Sharing Dance Day on the morning on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Axworthy Health and RecPlex (350 Spence Street, Winnipeg, MB).
Every Tuesday from February 5-May 28, 2019, the RWB welcomes kids ages 8-12 for FREE weekly classes from 5-6 pm at the RWB on 380 Graham Avenue. There is no advanced registration, and kids are encouraged to attend weekly, but not required. Kids and families may choose not to participate in Sharing Dance Day, but why miss the country’s biggest dance party when everyone is invited? Contact the RWB School Office at 204-957-3467 or [email protected] for more information.
