Caretaking Couple

We are looking for a mature, Full Time Caretaking Couple for a well maintained senior independent living apartment building. Qualified individuals must live on-site for this position. This is a salaried position and a discount on rent for a one bedroom suite will also be offered.
Job Description: The successful candidate will strive to maintain the property to its highest possible standard. The Caretaker will report to the onsite Manager. General duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Interior Maintenance:
• Cleaning of all common areas including; hallways, entrances, laundry rooms, storage rooms and garbage room.
• Cleaning of suites upon tenant vacating, if needed.
• Ensure vacant suites are kept in showable condition.
• Minor maintenance in the common areas and suites.
• Maintaining garbage and recycling bins, and put out for pickup
Exterior Maintenance:
• Snow removal of all building entrances and sidewalks.
• Grounds Maintenance including: grass cutting, trimming, flower planting/maintaining, watering, debris removal & sweeping
Other duties:
• Regular walk through of the building and property, ensuring security and cleanliness
• Be on call on the designated weekends and evenings
Clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Check and Child Abuse Registry Check required prior to employment approval.
Experience:
• caretaking: 5 years (Preferred)
• Having good communication skills
• Being flexible & patient
• Being trustworthy
• Being able to work alone or with a team
