Cam Schilling recalled from Manitoba Moose

Our very own hockey stars going on a road trip, Winnipeg Jets will play against the Nashville Predators. On Wednesday, January 16th Winnipeg Jets recalled defenseman Cam Schilling from the Manitoba Moose.

A 30-year-old Cameron Schilling first stepped on ice in Jets uniform back in November of 2018 and recorded one assist while appearing in four games. Schilling is in his second season in the organization and has one goal and nine assists in 27 AHL games with the Manitoba Moose this season.

Unfortunately, Jets defencemen Dustin Byfuglien and Ben Chiarot are both currently dealing with injuries. Chiarot sat out Tuesday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights, which was a great victory for our team. On Tuesday, January 15th our own glorious Winnipeg Jets, despite getting dominated in the shot department, managed to come out on top and beat the Vegas Golden Knights a 4-1 at Bell MTS Place.

Laurent Brossoit showed a fantastic game, he finished the night with 43 saves and set a franchise record for saves in a period, making 26 stops in the middle frame alone.

The Jets are in their winning streak, five straight games on home ice and have yet to lose at Bell MTS Place, 2019 looks great for pout team. It was a busy night for the Jets penalty killers, who were a perfect 6-for-6 with Vegas on the man advantage.

The Schilling’s recall indicates he probably won’t be available to play on the upcoming road trip. All Jets fans hope for a great trip for our team, for all upcoming games to be an easy and sure victory! The three-game winning streak will continue and grow, as Winnipeg Jets take the first place in NHL!

Get your tickets now for the next game, if do not have it already or plan a game night with your friends and family to support our own Winnipeg team! The next game is up Thursday, January 17th Winnipeg Jets vs Nashville Predators. Go Jets Go!
