Drone footage helped put out fire at Transcona asphalt plant

A huge flame seized the plant on Monday and black thick smoke rose above the plant.

This situation led to the evacuation of people, and thousands of city residents remained inside their homes due to the toxic stench in the air.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was able to cope with the fire but only by resorting to the help of a drone. The chief specialist of the city fire service admitted that without the video from above, everything could have ended much more sadly.

He also added that it was the fifth time that the fire service had been using the drone since July.

The video that was made by the drone hit the network on Thursday and the residents of the city were able to watch footage of what was happening at the plant.
