Best ideas to entertain kids during spring break (Part 1)

Spring break has started! Now all parents think of how to make their children spend time unresisting and useful during this spring break.

Here are several of the best ideas on how parents can entertain their kids this week:

1. Manitoba Legislature

Manitoba Legislature opens its doors for all children who are interested in visiting this institution. Children will be able to see how the provincial government works and perhaps decide on their future profession. The main idea is that children will be able to see that the government is not an abstract concept. They will be able to understand that they can also become part of the system when they grow up.

Free excursions will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 to 14. The event is organized for children aged 6 to 12.

2. Festival of Fools at The Forks

The Festival of Fools is back. This week children will be able to laugh, to see circus acts, and to plunge into the atmosphere of magic. The festival is organized by the Winnipeg International Children's Festival. All kids visit Festival of Fools for free.

3. Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Canadian Museum for Human Rights also has its own festival for kids. They will see circus acts, hoop dancing, singing, magic, comedy, jigging, hip hop and bluegrass music.

Children under 12 can visit the museum for free. The festival will take place from March 25 to March 28.

4. Manitoba Museum

Manitoba Museum offers all kids to go on a scavenger hunt for rocks, paper, and fossils to win a prize pack. The hunt is at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. every day this week. All additional information can be found online.
