This four-in-one class helps to explore four different engineering streams.

Mechanical Engineering - Rolling Rambler: during the Rolling Rambler activity, students will construct a model of a car and learn about the car’s wheel and axle system.

Environmental Engineering - Sun Painting: during the Sun Painting students will learn which visible colors are most effective at developing and exposing photographic prints. Sun printing, or cyanotype, will give students the opportunity to closely examine an object in detail, as the object being printed leaves a direct contact silhouette on the specially-formulated sun print paper.

Industrial Engineering - Levers: students will learn that levers are everywhere and that most objects with a handle are considered levers, they also will practice using a large-scale lever as a class, and then will construct their own model of a lever using a pencil and a jumbo craft stick.

Chemical Engineering - Bubble Bliss: students will explore properties of a liquid during this Bouncing Bubbles lesson. They will experiment concocting two different bubble solutions to determine which one produces stronger bubbles.

The event is designed for children from 4 to 7 years old.
