After the suicide of Dédé Fortin, the founding member and leader of the group, Mike Sawatzky (band's guitarist) took charge of reunion parties with the public to celebrate the work of André Fortin and the Colocs.
The group's original guitarist, Mike Sawaszky, has rallied his most faithful musicians to celebrate the work of the frontman Colocs, André "Dédé" Fortin, who committed suicide in May 2000.
