The show is a pay tribute to the beautiful country north of Lake Superior and west to the prairies - a territory that is under-represented in Canadian landscape painting but possessed of a strange fertile allure.
The paintings are not representations of specific places. The artist painted according to his memories through the prism of the past — the time spent in Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Nipigon and points north.
