March 21st is International Day for the Elimination of Racism as sanctioned by the United Nations. Every Human is entitled to freedom from racial discrimination as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights signed over 70 years ago by the countries of the United Nations including Canada. The reality is that Canadians face racial discrimination daily and this holds back the potential of people simply based on the colour of their skin. As a consequence, Manitobans for Human Rights is bringing people together on this day to discuss how to eliminate racism.
