A world-famous Anishinaabe musician Mary is fleeing the hectic pace of touring, her abusive manager and even the love of her fans. She seeks refuge on her reserve in Northern Ontario. Her sister Betty urges her to reconnect with family and old friends. But neither nature’s serenity nor the care she receives from her family can completely erase the torments of the outside world.
