Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team management of a cardiac arrest, team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. Specific skills in airway management and related pharmacology are also featured. Skills are taught through discussion and group learning, while testing stations offer case-based scenarios using simulators.

The 2 following are required:

1) Current BLS & ACLS Provider Certification. Must be emailed to [email protected] before course date. If you are uncertain if your BLS or ACLS is current please feel free to contact the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada at: 1-877-473-0333

2) Please complete the following Pre-course assessment: https://resuscitation.heartandstroke.ca/resources/other/acls_training

*Please be advised: Only active healthcare providers whose training and scope of practice include a knowledge base encompassing the foundation of ACLS knowledge and skill may enroll in the ACLS course.

Completion Requirements:100% attendance plus students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS Course Completion Card.

Certification: 2-Year ACLS Course Completion Card (E-Card).
