International folk dancing involves learning traditional dances from cultures from around the world.

The dances range from peaceful and relaxing to energetic and aerobic. To begin with there will be some easy warm-up dances, followed by about an hour of teaching. After a short break, you have request dancing where members can ask for their favourite dances. The evening is closing out at 11:00 by dimming the lights and winding down with a calm last dance.

Most of the repertoire is line and circle dances from Balkan and Middle East countries, but there are also partner dances and mixers from Europe and North America.

Dress comfortably for mild exercise and bring a change of shoes!

The fee is $4 for MIFDA members, $5 for non-members.
