The University of Winnipeg’s upcoming Axworthy Distinguished Lecture will be given by world-renowned philosopher Slavoj Žižek on Thursday, April 18 in Riddell Hall.

Named a Top 100 Global Thinker, Žižek is known for his critical analysis of popular culture, capitalism, and political correctness. He’s published more than 50 books, which have been translated into more than 20 languages, and is currently a professor at the European Graduate School, International Director of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, Birkbeck College, University of London, and a senior researcher at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
