Join Functional Transit Winnipeg as we celebrate 101 Years of the Bus! In 1918, the first bus was introduced onto the streets of Winnipeg, offering a new way for Winnipeggers to navigate our great city.

We'll celebrate the history of the bus in our city and consider what the future looks like for transit. Over the decades, service levels haven't kept pace with population growth and demand and we'll talk about how to change that. Join us for a fun evening of music, exhibits and discussion about the issues and potential of public transit in Winnipeg!

We are pleased to announce former Mayor Glen Murray and Dr. Orly Linovski, professor of city planning at the University of Manitoba, will be our guest speakers for the evening.

Functional Transit will also have authentic, historic bus parked outside for the public to explore, as well as activities and exhibits to explore Winnipeg Transit's history.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Special thanks to our event sponsors for making this possible:
