The event where will be a quillwork workshop with master beader, Jennine Krauchi, and Manitoba Museum Curator of Cultural Anthropology, Dr. Maureen Matthews!

At the first part of the workshop you will be greeted to the Museum’s extensive quillwork collection led by Maureen and Jennine, also you will be introduced to the quillwork on display in the Museum Galleries and get a behind-the-scenes look at the large and historically significant quillwork collections in our museum vaults. Porcupine quills, quillwork designs, wrapping, sewing, plaiting, weaving and much more...

At the second part participants’ will first be shown how to prepare the quills, then will learn the Zig-Zag and the Single Line technique.
