Come join us at Tiny Gallery as we kick off our new season of tiny shows in our fresh location at 84 ½ Albert St. Our Tiny Shows aim to provide an alternative music venue, a more intimate and connected experience while allowing the audience to take in the artwork at Tiny Gallery. For this episode, we will be featuring Briar’s Haven and George Bajer-Koulack.

"Briar's Haven means a safe place from the thorns, a sanctuary from the world" A new generation of Canadian musicians, Briar’s Haven are celebrating traditional Celtic music by interpreting classic melodies through their own musical experience. Briar’s Haven features Finn Letourneau on fiddle and Gabriel Pinchbeck on guitar. They will be bringing their Celtic, folk, and oldtime music from Victoria BC to Winnipeg for the first time, spinning a timeless tale of folklore with their instruments.

George Bajer-Koulack has a bachelor of music degree where he studied classical singing and has sung with local choirs such as Camerata Nova and Cantucum Novum. He started to play guitar the summer of 2014 right before starting his degree and took a year off to live in Spain and study flamenco guitar! His first love, however, was for percussion and he still spends some time in the rhythm section backing bands and choirs. Nowadays by day George works at the Misericordia hospital singing old country and Western songs for the seniors who live there; and by night he performs solo flamenco guitar around town in places like Inferno's and the Fort Garry Hotel.
