Authentic Japanese ramen comes to Winnipeg!

Ramen Takeuma is owned and operated by Atsushi Kawazu, a Japanese native from Kyoto, who was trained in Japan to make ramen and will be opening a ramen shop in the near future.

This event is a temporary pop-up ramen restaurant that will run from July 10th to August 23rd at 937 Portage Ave (formally Café Ce Soir restaurant) by reservation only. The purpose is to see how Winnipegers respond to authentic ramen and to conduct some market research.

Event tickets will include a 4-course meal of Gomae (Japanese Style Spinach), Tatsuta-age (deep-fried chicken), Ramen and Dessert. Ticket price includes all taxes and gratuity for the food.

Non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages such as Japanese beer and sake may be purchased on site. Or you can bring your own wine for a corking fee of $12. Following the meal, diners will be invited to participate in an online survey.

We are also featuring local Manitoba pottery artists and their ceramic ramen bowls.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: Once a reservation is confirmed and tickets are bought, please notify us of any cancellations or modification. If your group is four or less, please inform us at least three days (72 hours) prior to your seating. For groups of five or more, please inform us at least one week prior to your seating, in order to avoid any penalty charges. Failure to inform us within these terms will result in full charge of the tickets purchased.

Please present your receipt (printed or off your phone) at the event to confirm payment.

Hope to see you at our pop up event soon!
