Although raised in rural Manitoba, Suzanne and her family now live in Winnipeg. Together they strive to live lightly on the earth and remain connected with nature through gardening and being active in the wild edges of the outdoors. Suzanne has experience teaching classes from Kindergarten to grade eight, and wrote her masters thesis on the topic of elementary school garden use in Manitoba schools. Suzanne is qualified as a Master Composter, Master Gardener and LEED Green Associate.
