Opening Reception: Friday, September 6, 6-9pm
Closing Party: Saturday, September 28, 2019, 8-11pm (Nuit Blanche)

What are our roots? Where do our reaching tendrils take us? In September, MAWA members will explore botanicals and connections in a group show of small works. This showcase is an opportunity for all MAWA artists who wish to participate to “hang together” and, if they so choose, sell their work at a price of their choice with all proceeds going to the artist.

Cash, credit, debit and cheques accepted!

MAWA is a ground level accessible space, with an accessible entrance and washrooms. ASL is provided upon request, with two weeks notice. Service animals are welcome; pets are not. We request that all guests refrain from wearing scented products out of respect for those with sensitivities. MAWA programming is open to participants of all genders unless otherwise noted. MAWA’s washrooms are gender neutral.

During the day, there is metered street parking in front of MAWA for $2.50/hour. After 5:30pm and on Sundays, street parking is available free of change. There are several paid lots nearby, including Sports Manitoba on Pacific Ave. and a public lot at Main St. and Logan Ave. that charge $2 for the first hour and $1 for each additional hour. Participants can no longer park for free in the old Mitchell’s Fabric parking lot.

MAWA can be easily reached by public transit. The northbound bus stops 60 paces from MAWA’s door and is serviced by bus routes 15, 16, 18, 20, 44, 45 and 47. The southbound bus stop is across Main St. from MAWA, 80 paces from the door, and is serviced by bus routes 3 (a free bus), 15, 16, 18, 20, 26, 44, 45 and 47.

MAWA opens 30 minutes before each program is due to begin.
