The tournament has been named, "It's Only A Flesh Wound" in keeping with the theme for Keycon's celebration of 50 years of Monty Python, British surreal comedy group. Keycon in conjunction with Valour Historical European Martial Arts Academy are proud to announce that they will be hosting an international HEMA tournament at the Radisson Hotel May 17-19, 2019 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada!
The competition will feature a steel longsword tournament and a mixed single handed steel tournament. HEMA Tournament is open to all HEMA practitioners featuring Devon Boorman, Maestro d'Armi from Vancouver's Academie Duello will be in attendance. He will be running a few seminar panels as well as acting as head judge for the finals of the tournament.
