Meth Crisis: Winnipeg Police Chief Calls Residents to Stand up for the Struggle

As it became known, the use of meth is really very great and in recent years the situation has significantly worsened. Winnipeg Police Chief is sure that meth is the cause of the increased level of crime and violence.

Recently, the police are seeing more and more aggressive and brutal behavior among the locals. This situation is very disturbing to the police, as they have to be alert all the time and to increase the activity of the work of health resources, treatment resources, shelter resources and other public services.

Unfortunately, the police cannot change anything alone. When they arrest people on the streets, these people get to jail, but they do not get the necessary conditions and help there. So, after returning to a habitual way of life, everything starts from the beginning.

The West End and the North End are the most problematic parts of the city. On Wednesday dozens of policemen took to the streets and distributed flyers to local residents in the hope that people will not remain indifferent to those who have problems.
