As it became known, the team signed a new contract with Nicolas Petan. The agreement with the 23-year-old player was signed for one year, and the Canadian will earn $874 thousand in NHL and $70 thousand in the case of AHL games.

In 2017/18 season, Nic took part in 15 games for Jets and has managed to score 2 goals. In total Nicolas Petan played 95 games and scored 21 (5 + 16) points during his NHL career. However, the main part of the last season he played for Manitoba Moose in AHL. He played 52 games, scored 15 goals and made 37 assists.

Winnipeg Jets coach was impressed by Petan’s performance. He believes that Nicholas is worthy of playing in NHL and he hopes that Nic will show even better results in the new season. Winnipeg Jets also plan to sign several more new contracts this summer.

We want to recall that in July Jets extended the agreement with the Slovak striker Marko Dano.
