Winnipeggers can give back while buying holiday gifts

Winnipeggers can buy holiday gifts in some shopping events and give back while doing this.

Here are four places where all city residents can not only buy gifts for their close people or goods for their pets before the upcoming holidays but also feel the spirit of giving back:

1.     Behind Closed Doors event

St. Vital Centre will have Behind Closed Doors event on November 17 from 7 a.m. to 17.30 p.m. It is already the ninth annual event. The price for a ticket starts from 5$ if to buy it in advance. All people who take part in the event will have access to lots of prizes and discounts and raise money for a number of charities.  St. Vital Centre website has the list of all charity organizations that are partners of the event.

2.     The Craig Street Cats Annual Winter Craft Show

It offers all visitors to buy a lot of handmade goods and foods to raise money for charity organizations that help animals. It will be at the Viscount Gort Hotel on December 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  People will be able to participate in the lottery and various entertainment programs.

3.     Handmade Holiday Sale

Many local people will sell their handmade goods. It will be at 420 Corydon Ave on December 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entry ticket costs $2. The raised money will go to Rise Above Bursaries for Single Parents.

4.     Paws for the Season Craft and Bake Sale

At this event, city residents will be able to try all kinds of pastries and baked goods. Also, they can buy holiday gifts and animal goods at souvenir shops on the exhibition grounds. it will take place on December 2 and money from the event will go to the Winnipeg Humane Society that helps animals.
