A Famous Former Curling Player Jeff Stoughton will Coach Canada National Team for 2022 Olympics

Jeff Stoughton helped Canada’s mixed doubles curling team to get gold at the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and now he plans to repeat this success the national four-man team at the next Olympics.

Olympics 2022 will take place in Beijing, China. Canadian Curling Association reported about certain changes in the preparation for this important event for the country and for all the fans. So, a three-time Brier champion was named to become the couch of national men’s curling team.

The previous coach, Rick Lang, will work as a consultant to support Canada national curling team. Furthermore, four-time world champion Scott Pfeifer was also offered to become a consultant for performance. He will assist Jeff Stoughton with mixed doubles.

Adam Kingsbury, the former Team Rachel Homan coach, was asked to become an information manager and mental consultant.

Today, Canada coaching team is really impressive. These people have the greatest knowledge and experience. Stoughton started working with mixed doubles in far 2015. Jeff ended his curling career in 2015 and that year he said that he really liked curling and one way or another he would like to remain a part of this game.

Stoughton won a lot. Perhaps, the Olympics became the only unconquered summit for him. In 2005, he lost in the final of the Canadian selection, and in 2009 took the third place. Nowadays, he has a great opportunity to show all his professional skills and to prove that he is not only a good curling player, but he is also an excellent coach and can lead his team to victory.
