On August 7 at about 7.40 pm there was a signal of a big fire in an apartment building on Sherbrook Street between Portage and Ellice Avenues.
Winnipeg Fire Service commented on the situation and told that nobody was inside at the moment of fire. The representative of the fire service shared his impressions of what happened and reported that when the fire crew arrived they saw thick smoke coming from everywhere.
Firefighters made the maximum effort to fight the fire and finally everything was over about an hour after their arrival. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
