Maya Shore is raising money to help her mother combat cancer.

In May, Maya learned about a terrible diagnosis, her mother had breast cancer. So, a girl decided to do her best to help the mother.

While the girl was going with her mother for a course of chemotherapy, she was thinking how to help her mother. It all began with her idea to walk with her mother every morning. Then Maya did an incredible thing.

Her father, Sean Shore, told that Maya found out about the CIBC Run for the Cure fundraising and gave $1000 to the fund from her own savings.

The girl said that she wanted to draw people's attention and to show how important it is for her. Now, Maya has become the best online fundraiser. The girl's first goal was to raise $5,000, but having reached it, the girl set a new goal in the form of $10,000.

When Maya saw that people began to respond and to help, she was so excited that she decided to continue raising money. For the first week, she managed to raise more than $7000. Her fundraising will continue for a month more.

Maya's mother does not cease to say how proud she is of her daughter and that she did not even expect such a result to be possible.

In late September, Maya will make a 5km walking in the Run for the Cure. It will be the last day of her fundraising.
