Many Winnipeg children experience psychological problems while back to school

Some children can not wait to start their school year in order to return to the classroom and to see their friends, but many others experience a bitter anxiety and fear about it.

During coming back to school period, children’s problems are becoming more urgent and painful. A recently published report states that children do not receive the necessary psychological support nowadays.

The head of one of the charity organizations helping children said that this is a very disturbing situation. She noted that child abuse is the factor number one that affects the child's mental health. As she stated, every third child in Canada is facing this, which is very bad for their mental condition.

Tara Brousseau Snider from Mood Disorders of Manitoba said that when a child returns to school, he faces a lot of problems, and it will be hard to overcome them alone. She recommends parents to ensure that the child adheres to the daily routine. Also, parents should raise the child's mood before going to school, for example, by cooking his favorite breakfast, and it will facilitate this difficult back to school period.
