Fires on the border of Manitoba-Ontario: the smoke came to Winnipeg

Environment Canada informs that Winnipeggers should be careful: smoke came to the city.

As it became known, a lot of forest fires occurred on the border of Manitoba with Ontario. As a result of the wind which has a southeast direction, in Winnipeg people can smell the smoke.

The situation is not as critical as it was last month when Winnipeg's sky was covered with fog due to fires in Alberta. This time, the inhabitants of the city can only feel a faint smell. Smoke will not lead to problems in people with respiratory diseases and will not interfere with visibility.

However, people are not recommended to spend a long time on the street.

By the evening the situation should change for the better.
