A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday.

Premier Brian Pallister, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mayor Brian Bowman took part in the official ceremony of ribbon-cutting.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday and it was dedicated to Canada Goose Expansion. About $1.48 million was allocated to expand Winnipeg manufacturing operations.

The new Mountain Avenue facility 128,000-square-foot in size is officially opened. The company president and CEO Dani Reiss shared his opinion and told that he is really glad that a large number of jobs appeared for residents of Winnipeg and production capacity is now stronger than ever.

The province expects to return its investment in 4 years. Trudeau made a speech and said that Canada Goose never forgot about its roots, and he is very proud that more and more people start their work on this project every new year.

Now more than 3,000 people around the world work in Canada Goose, but the new venture will allow more than 700 Canadians to get an opportunity to start working here. Clothing production will also be in Canada.
