Man dragged by a stolen car

A man found his stolen vehicle and tried to stop the driver from getting away, but ended up in the hospital. Winnipeg police are investigating the incident and looking for a carjacker.

Winnipeg police had identified two suspects in vehicle theft that occurred at the beginning of last week in the area of Rossmere neighborhood. Past Friday, around 3 p.m. the owner came across his vehicle that was reported stolen and in wanted by police, it happened on McLeod Avenue. The owner tried to stop the driver from leaving but unfortunately didn’t succeed, was dragged by the moving car and got injured. He was later delivered to a hospital in a stable condition.

Later the same day officers found abandoned vehicle, most likely thieves decided to get rid of it due to encounter with the owner. A major crime unit was working on the investigation and police asked for a public help with any information about the car theft incident. Also, witnesses of a man being dragged by a vehicle on Friday were asked to come forward with a statement or any details about what happened.

Apparently, police work gave its results, suspects were identified and an arrest warrant has been issued for both suspects, a 39-year-old Scott Kenneth Lindell, and a 25-year-old Melissa Ashley Forest, the police is still looking for them.
