The 70th ceremony of Emmy Awards, which traditionally choose the best series of the year took place on Monday.
This year, the event will be remembered not only for the awards for the best serials and movies and the gorgeous outfits of all celebrities, but also for another occasion. Glenn Weiss, the director of the Academy Awards made an offer of marriage to his girlfriend when he was making a speech.
Weiss got the Emmy Award for directing the Oscars telecast on Monday. While being on the stage, he was talking about his mother who passed away several weeks ago and unexpectedly for all the people who were at the event he said that he wants his girlfriend to become his wife.
The audience burst into applause and the girl came on the stage with tears in her eyes. When his beloved woman got on the stage, he gave her his family ring. It was the ring his father gave to his mom more than 60 years ago.
When Weiss asked her a question that was expected by all the people present in the hall, the girl said yes.
Right after that, a lot of congratulations appeared on Twitter. A lot of celebrities congratulated the couple on that wonderful news.
