82 million loan is going to be written off

On Wednesday, the PC government informed that $82 million loan should be paid between 2014 and 2058 by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, University of Manitoba and City of Winnipeg, as it was expected before.

As it became known, Manitoba’s provincial government is going to write off the second loan part for IGF (Investors Group Field). Brian Pallister noted that in his opinion Triple B Stadium Inc. can pay such an amount of money.

The President and CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers commented on the situation and said that they are going to continue to pay money.

As Finance Minister believes, writing off the second loan part will significantly affect the financial figures that will be shown some days later.

Also, the government wants to add $22 million in liabilities for states and institutions that are not environmentally friendly for the province.

Pallister added that his aim is to make finances of the government transparent by 2024, so several changes should be done already now.
