Manitoba’s new curling dream team has a great start

Einarson led his team to the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts final in spring 2018. Then she broke up the band and brought in two of the provinces top skips to join her.

Shannon Birchard and Briane Meilleur also showed great results in three-time Alberta champ Val Sweeting.

So, there were three winnings in the first four events on the World Curling Tour.

Einarson announced that she didn’t even expect such results, as the team is new and she didn’t know how they would work together.

Birchard also commented on their wins and said that she did not think that victory can be possible in the first month after a new team was formed.

Meilleur was also pleasantly surprised and said that they did not even prepare for such victories. Now we can say with full confidence that this summer has become a big change in curling.

Birchard added that they are all very different people, but they very much trust each other, and their support is really great and it is important for the whole team.

Initially, one could think that each of them was trying to become a leader, and there was a difference in the opinions. But, soon Einarson took the role of leader and developed a strategy, and the whole team agreed with it and together they came to such remarkable results.
