Adam Bighill pushes for MVP honor

Blue Bombers is a great team and we are proud the team represents the city of Winnipeg. Adam Bighill has played a major role in their recent turn of fortunes as he continues to make a strong case for the club’s MVP honor.

The 30-year-old linebacker is coming off a three-sack performance for the first time in his career and his game leading eight tackles now gives him 101 for the season to lead the entire CFL.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers Legacy Gala Dinner is one of Manitoba`s most anticipated events each year for members of the business and the football communities. This year the event took place at the RBC Convention Centre on October 9th. The event was planned from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., it was full of people, team members and guests stayed even after it was over. Guests were taking pictures and getting players autographs.

There were few new players that joined the team and the new 2018 team was announced. This year, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers welcomed Terrence Edwards, David Asper, and Gene Dunn into the Blue Bombers Hall of Fame during this evening of fanfare.

Coming back to the Bighill, with the race so tight in the West Division, the Bombers will need Bighill to be at his best for their final two games of the regular season. But if he plays anything like he has the past few games you can already start inscribing his name on the Bombers’ MOP award and maybe the CFL’s most outstanding defensive player award as well.

“You think back and go, boy, it’s hard to imagine our team without him on the field this year for sure,” General Manager Kyle Walters said.  Adam Bighill will be a free agent at the end of the season and will be the number one priority for Walters. “As big as there is,” Walters said. “He’s right up at the top.” Even though the one player doesn’t make a team, teamwork makes a great team, the strong player and the leader will lead the team towards glorious victory. So Kyle Walter will have to make sure Bighill will be with the team and the Blue Bombers will show the best results and win the upcoming season.

The next game is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th, Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Calgary Stampeders, get your game tickets now to make sure there are still tickets available, bring your friends and family to surely have a good time, enjoy the game and cheer for our one and only, Winnipeg Blue Bombers!
