There will be a vigil for victims of Pittsburgh attack

On Tuesday at Congregation Shaarey Zedek there will be a vigil for victims of Pittsburgh tragedy: 11 people were killed at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

The general director of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg commented on the situation and stated that there is no reason to believe that the situation could happen again in some other synagogue in Canada. There is no heightened threat at the moment.

However, the Police Service said that the number of patrols in areas where the synagogues are located was increased to make the safety of people higher.

The director of the Jewish Federation also stated that the situation in the community is stable and they will continue to live like Canadian Jews, despite all the hatred that was manifested on Saturday.

All people who want to come to the vigil will be able to do it on Tuesday at 7 pm.
