Last week, October 29th the truck was reported stolen by Manitoba RCMP, later located by police in Ontario.

Police officers got a call about the dangerous incident at the gas station on Imperial Road at approximately 12:20 a.m., later the pickup was found in the area of Woodlawn and Edinburgh roads, but the driver was able to run away.

The vehicle was later found unoccupied in the area of Burns Drive and police said they also found break-in tools.

Just a few days later the driver of the stolen truck was found by police officers during a traffic stop, he was hiding in the trunk of another vehicle. He was arrested on the spot and taken to police custody, a 29-year-old man from Guelph was charged with possession of stolen property, theft, and breaching his probation.

The driver of the stopped vehicle, a 28-year-old Guelph woman, was charged with resisting arrest, also other charges may be applied later, as she was harboring the criminal, by hiding him inside the trunk of her vehicle, if the police will prove she knew about him inside the trunk and willingly helped the criminal.

The investigation still ongoing, more details will be presented in the official police report after it is closed.
