At the same time, the updated crossover became 180 kg lighter than the previous model due to a small decrease in size. Body rigidity indicators have improved due to the use of high and extra high strength steel. The overall dimensions of the Chevrolet Equinox are now 4652 mm (118 mm smaller) in length with a wheelbase of 2725 mm (132 mm smaller), a width of 1843 mm (+ 1 mm) and a height of 1661 mm (23 mm smaller).

The cabin architecture is almost completely transferred from the Chevrolet Malibu sedan: an unobstructed very simple instrument panel, a wide center console, a multifunctional steering wheel, MyLink multimedia with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, an intuitive climate control unit and touch-pleasant accessory keys.

Motors offered in three options- two petrol and one diesel. The diesel unit has a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 137 hp. Accelerates 0-100 km/h in about 9 seconds. Maximum speed is limited to 210 km/h, the fuel consumption - around 6 liters on the highway and around 9 liters in city mode.

Gasoline engine options are a 1.5-liter 170-horsepower turbocharged engine with an average fuel consumption of 7.6 liters and a 2.0-liter 252-horsepower turbo engine with a torque peak of 353 Nm and an average fuel consumption of 8.4 liters per 100 km.

The standard third-generation Chevrolet Equinox is offered with front-wheel drive, four-wheel drive is available as an option.

Chevrolet Equinox is one of the models that allowed the brand to be the best-selling brand in the world for over ten years, the vehicle is comfortable, reliable and relatively inexpensive.
