On Saturday a pastor from Winnipeg took part in a supermarket contest and received a big prize: $1.1M.

Christopher Haley was chosen as the winner in the Safeway Sobeys Score & Win contest absolutely randomly. The essence of the contest was to give cash prizes to people who took part in it if a single player score three, four or five goals in a game.

Thanks to Winnipeg Jets player Patrik Laine Haley is a millionaire now. The winnings will be divided into 20 annual payments of $50,000. In addition to the main prize, the pastor will also receive a one-time payment in the amount of $100,000 for 4 scored goals, and a gift card for purchases in the Safeway Sobeys Score & Win in the amount of $1,000, which is issued for 3 scored goals by one player.

Haley commented on his winnings and said that he and his wife still do not know how to spend the money. However, the first thing they are going to do is to buy new glasses for themselves. The man also added that he plans to continue his work in the church and he thanked God for everything and said that he considers this a great gift from above.

Safeway Sobeys Score & Win contest is held in all cities with NHL team. Winning is received by people in a random way when one player from the home team scores 3, 4, or 5 goals during the regular season or playoffs.
