On Tuesday, January 22nd the Blue Bombers announced Michael Couture had been signed to a one-year extension for the 2019 CFL season.

Couture was the Blue Bombers second pick in the second round of the 2016 CFL draft. The 6-4, 285 pound native of Burnaby, B.C. has shown his versatility during his first three seasons as a Blue Bomber in being able to provide backup depth at all offensive line positions. He has dressed for all 54 games and started twice during the 2018 season.

Also, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Monday, January 7th that star kicker Medlock – named the Most Outstanding Special Teams Player in each of his three seasons as a Bomber – has agreed to a two-year contract extension.

A 35-year-old Medlock has a career field goal percentage of 86.5 percent – second best in CFL history. Medlock was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2016 and has played in 128 career CFL games over an eight-year career.

We all hope a star-kicker will bring all the luck to our team and show only the best results playing for Blue Bombers this upcoming season.
