Manitoba figure skater is getting ready for World Cup and World Junior Championships in Europe

17-year-old Alexa Scott is the pride of Manitoba and now she is getting ready to the competitions in Europe.

Scott has already won 4 gold medals at the Canadian Junior Long Track Championships, so the next stage is to go to Europe. Alexa said she is very excited as she has never been to Europe. She added that it was her dream and now it can come true.

Scott’s coach is very proud of the girl and he believes that she has every chance to win in Europe and also to get to the Winter Olympics 2022.

“Only three years away, she’d be 20. And with a lot of skaters, your prime is usually late 20’s, 28. But the way she is going, anything is possible. She’s definitely going to be out on the track battling for a spot for the next Olympics.”

February will be very tense in the life of a young figure skater, but not only her native province of Manitoba, but the whole of Canada will be rooting for her.
