Neil Young visited his native city – Winnipeg

The veteran Canadian rocker returned to Winnipeg and called it his home.

Even though the singer lived in California for many years, now he admitted that he was very happy to return to the city he used to live in.

"December, 1962. The first known photo of The Squires. Neil, Alan Bates, and Ken Koblun rehearsing in drummer Jack Harper's house in Winnipeg," Neil Young Archives captioned his Instagram post. "Winnipeg, where playing in a band began for me, see you all next week!"

A little later, the rocker fans saw a photo of him standing in front of Winnipeg's Crescentwood Community Centre with his friend from Squires. Then, the Canadian musician also visited a local skating rink and watched the children play hockey.

On his blog, Young shared unforgettable impressions of visiting the city where he spent so many years. He said the trip gave him many memorable moments in the company of old friends.

Recall that starting from May Neil Young is going to give several concerts. He will even have U.K. shows with Bob Dylan.
