Winnipeg Jets had a very lucky recent game and the team`s captain, Blake Wheeler scored a rare four goals in one game. Thanks to that a Manitoba resident Wanda Nabess is walking away with the money after winning the Safeway Score & Win contest.
“I’d never ever believed that they’d pull my name, you know?” Wanda said. Both Wanda and her husband Greg, are huge fans of the Jets, and after his winning game, they say Wheeler is their favourite. The Nabess’s plan to spend their winnings on traveling to see their family.
Jets captain Blake Wheeler is the NHL’s second star of the week after Sunday’s four-goal performance. The 32-year-old led the NHL with five goals and eight points in three games.
Wheeler was also named the league’s second star of the week back in November of last year.
On March 1st Winnipeg Jets got a two-goal advantage over the Nashville Predators and got a 5-3 win. The Jets moved ahead of Nashville (37-25-5) and atop the Central Division standings with the victory.
