Bear Clan busy day

Bear Clan busy day

James Favel, Bear Clan Patrol executive director, informed that last year the organization found forty thousand of needles on the streets of the city. This year, it will probably see two times more. Favel said that most needles are found when spring begins, usually in March and April.

Bear Clan joins locals who care about their community and the city to be clean, drug and weapon free environment for their children and youth.

Volunteers with the Bear Clan had their hands full this weekend taking care of the city. A number of makeshift and dangerous weapons were taken off the street by the Bear Clan over the long weekend.

The weapons from the long weekend were unique, however, because of the large quantity of the haul all coming from the North and West Ends of Winnipeg.

Fellow Winnipeggers lets come together to help our city and local communities be safe to work and to live in!
